Pete Martinez, CTBS, serves as the Senior Vice President of Operations at Sequence LifeScience, bringing more than 20 years of experience in the tissue banking industry. Over the past six years, he has led operational execution across tissue manufacturing and distribution, driving performance while maintaining rigorous standards of quality and regulatory compliance.

In his role, Pete provides strategic and operational leadership across manufacturing, donor utilization, capacity planning, and organizational readiness. He is focused on building high-performing teams and scalable processes, balancing hands-on leadership with a forward-looking approach that supports sustainable growth and operational excellence.

Earlier in his career, Pete also gained significant expertise in cadaveric tissue recovery. With hands-on experience in donor screening, recovery, and eligibility determination in accordance with AATB and FDA regulations. He performed and led aseptic surgical recovery procedures in time critical environments and supported complex, multi-tissue recoveries. He collaborated closely with medical examiners, hospitals, and organ procurement organizations, ensuring proper handling, packaging, and transport to preserve tissue integrity. Pete also contributed to the development of recovery protocols, quality systems, and training programs, helping to strengthen team capability and reinforce compliance with current good tissue practices.
